Forensic Evaluations

Through her education and training, Dr. Todaro has developed specialized knowledge of forensic psychology, which is the application of psychological principles to the legal system. She serves as a neutral and objective evaluator to assist attorneys and the courts in answering specific psycho-legal questions. Dr. Todaro has experience conducting a variety of forensic evaluations for both juvenile and criminal cases. Additionally, she provides expert witness testimony.

Dr. Todaro currently offers the following evaluation services:

  • Competency to Stand Trial

  • Criminal Responsibility (Sanity)

  • Pre-sentencing Evaluations

Adult:

  • Fitness to Proceed

  • Lack of Responsibility

  • Certification/Waiver to Adult Court

Juvenile:

Training & Consultation

Dr. Todaro is available to provide training and presentations on a variety of psychological and forensic topics to justice-related partners. Consultation services are also available.

Dr. Todaro is available for ex-parte and court-appointed forensic evalautions in the Greater Houston area and surrounding jurisdictions. Fees are typically billed on an hourly basis for all necessary evaluation services, consultation, report preparation, and expert testimony. Other fee agreements that may be required or customary for a particular agency, law firm or a specific court can be made on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that Dr. Todaro does not accept insurance.

Clinical Evaluations

Dr. Todaro is trained to conduct clinical evaluations which more closely focus on an individual’s emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and personality functioning. Recommendations for treatment/clinical services are provided in such reports. Typically, Dr. Todaro conducts these evaluations at the request of attorneys, probation departments, and the court.
